Santa Inc.

Created by Alexandra Rushfield (Shill, Love, Parks & Recreation) and starring Sarah Silverman and Seth Rogen, this stop motion show was produced by Lionsgate for HBOMax (now Max).

I edited several episodes for the full radioplay, animatic, and edit process, and some episodes just through the edit process.

At the start of the pandemic I had just come out of paternity leave and was looking for work, but sets were shut down and there were no live action shows in production. So I turned to animation. I got connected with Stoopid Buddies Stoodios and got to edit some very cool stop motion productions. The first was a finished but never released Justin Roiland show for Quibi. Then I edited an extended couch gag for The Simpsons. Then I was hired to edit an 8 x 30min episode stop motion show about an elf trying to become Santa Claus.

The show caught the ire of alt-right internet activists, who called upon their followers to drag the show’s ratings down on iMDB and Rotten Tomatoes. I guess a show about Christmas by a Jewish writer, director, stars, composer, and editor was too much for those snowflakes. Here’s an article about it.
